Danada Veterinary Hospital is a recognizable entity in the Wheaton community. The hospital proudly services thousands of clients in the Chicagoland area. Our staff is made up of seven doctors assisted by over twenty support staff.

All our veterinarians are members of the American Veterinary Medical Association. They attend continuing education seminars on a regular basis to keep up to date on the latest advances in veterinary medicine. Our veterinarians also have excellent relationships with outside specialists in areas such as dermatology, neurology, and orthopedics should your pet undergo a procedure that requires more precise knowledge and experience.

Dr. Helen DaneDr._Dane_1.JPG
Owner

Dr. Dane started her love of animals early as she grew up on a dairy farm. “I used to throw the dolls out of the baby carriage and replace them with kittens when I was 3!” Dr. Dane earned her doctorate degree from Iowa State University in 1982. After several years in private practice, Dr. Dane opened the doors of Danada Veterinary Hospital on August 1, 1989. Her favorite part of the job is being a part of so many pets' lives and getting to know their unique personalities, as well as getting to know their owners. When she’s not overseeing the hospital or her patients, Dr. Dane enjoys bicycling, boating, and snowboarding. She is married to Roger Hohle, the business manager for DVH, and has two children Max and Rae. They share their home with Teko the dog, Sabre the cat and Bender the cockatiel.

Berley__3__1.jpgDr. Keith Berley
Chief of Medicine

"It was a difficult choice between becoming famous or becoming a veterinarian. The lack of any musical or acting talent made the decision easier." Dr. Berley joined the Danada Veterinary Staff in 1997 after graduating from the University of Illinois also in 1997. He has a strong interest in surgery and working on difficult cases. His favorite part of his job is helping animals and families through difficult times and forming life long bonds with his patients. Dr. Berley lived in New Orleans for two years and still has a strong affection for the area. When he’s not saving lives, he plays volleyball, works out and enjoys fixing up his house; the one his 16 yr old Persian, Winnie, rules “with her tiny, little fuzzy fists of fury.”

Her family includes a daughter, Kiley and son, Jack in addition to her husband, dogs, and cats. She has a full household of two dogs, Rocky and Basil, 3 cats, Lil Girl, Celsius, and Biko, and one husband, Tim. Learning something new and being challenged everyday is the best part of his job but he also says “our staff is outstanding and makes each day fun!” He shares his life with his wife, daughter, two dogs, Ronin and Jasmine, Elsa the bunny and two cats, B.C. and Trapper.
